Student Enterprise

The Student Enterprise Awards is an enterprise programme run by Local Enterprise Offices to encourage enterprise in schools. The competition encourages students to ‘have a go’ and set up a mini company.

Stages include:-

• Idea stage
• Market research - research to see if it would sell
• Selling
• Managing the business
• Report writing

Students who take part develop a wide range of personal and business skills such as:

• Communication skills
• Financial management
• Marketing skills
• Organisational skills
• Decision making skills

Students get to sell their products in school and to the wider community. They can set up a stall on market days, create their own website or use social media to promote their.

‍

And best of all students get to keep all profits from sales!!
