Senior Ladies Football v Hazelwood

The match was played in Dromcollogher field on the 3rd of October 2022, both teams arrived at the field at 10:30 to warm up and prepare for the game ahead, throw-in was at 11:00.

SMI started on a high, leading the game with a total of 6 well played goals and points in the first half, with their captain Ellie Woulfe. When half time came SMI were leading 6-6 to 0-2.

Second half SMI applied more pressure and furthered their lead by getting a total of 10 goals and 23 points. Hazelwood also upped the intensity by adding to their score with a total of 1 goal and 4 points.

‍

Both sides showed tremendous skill and determination but in the end SMI came out with the upper hand ending the game 10-23 to 1-4 final score.

We are very proud of the senior ladies football team and their trainer Ms Breen on their great win.
