Scoil Mhuire agus Íde played Hospital on Friday in the first round of the county under 15 School's Football, which was a first day out for most of the team having missed out on schools' football last year due to Covid. Although missing several players SMI showed great resilience keeping with the home side who were exceptionally strong in the middle of the field. Paul Logue's four points from play kept SMI ticking over with additional scores from Odhran Kelleher (1-01) and Cormac Kelly (1-00).
Unfortunately Hospital proved too strong in the end, but SMI can be proud of their second half comeback on their first day out. SMI face Pallaskenry on Wednesday 6th October in the first round of the Munster under 15 football competition.
